I have been messing around with connectors in quite a big way. My inspiration came from Tania Clark of TLC Designs, and the way she uses the wonderful cabs created by www.peruzi.net . So, like I say, I've been messing and I am absolutely loving what I'm creating with them at the moment. One of the best places I've found to get these connectors : Perriwinklebeads on ebay. Well, I've decided to give this blogging a go. I shall take this moment to explain that my spelling isn't ALL that, and my grammar is probably worse..........just warning you!
So, Treasured Forever started in March 2008. I secured a workshop unit in the Duchy Centre for Creativity in Princetown, Devon. It has since closed down, but let me assure you, that that was nothing to do with me!!!! The Duchy was a great starting point for me. In the centre there were many artists, including a felter, embroiderer, weaver and spinner to name a few. It was a very friendly atmosphere and we all got on very well from the start. 15 square metres, and it was all mine!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had started the business (partially through the Motherships insistence), and partially because I needed to make some cash back on everything I had spent on beads!! Having my own place to make and sell was the obvious thing to do. |
